What is Fault code f62 on my Vaillant Boiler.
The Fault code f62 relates to a gas valve issue, however this does not necessarily mean the gas valve is at fault.
Here we will explain why F62 it happens, how to repair your boiler and how much!! it should cost!.
This error occurs we have found in 2 ways. 90% of the time its due to the dc voltage coming back from the gas being incorrect and out of range.
Falsely giving this reading to the pcb indicates the gas valve is still open which can be a 2nd fault of F62 when demand has been met. The pcb then locks out to shut off the gas valve to prevent a gas leak.
The f62 Vaillant fault can occur very randomly, meaning difficult to diagnose however you can test the gas valve to ensure no gas is passing when the fault has occurred.
Price of repair?
Ok so price wise your looking at in the region of £200 to £300 parts and labour.
Conclusion
This fault is fixable, it is not a reoccurring fault that we know of in the years of our expertise. Engineers who are not upto scratch with diagnostics can wrongly diagnose this fault.
